    There are two major fundraising events taking place in Newmarket next month: Cops for Cancer and the Run, Walk and Roll for Spinal Cord Injury Recovery. Both aim to raise money for very worthy causes.

  • Newmarket has new market for job-hunters

    The American franchise Target is set to open in the Greater Toronto Area Spring 2013, meaning lots printed advertising about potential jobs and sales during the upcoming months, which will no doubt keep local printing companies busy.

  • Newmarket weekend GO train possible

    Although still in its preliminary approval stages, a major motion from Newmarket council supporting King Township created some hope for a weekend GO train service on the Barrie line through Newmarket. If Metrolinx goes ahead and expands the service, local print companies could soon be very busy with creating printed advertisement to ensure that local commuters are aware of the newly instituted line.

  • Newmarket tournament combats homelessness

    The community in Newmarket is doing its part to combat homeless through the Freedom 55 Financial Hockey Helps the Homeless fantasy hockey tournament set to take place at Magna Centre in Newmarket this November. This fundraising event is in its second year and could use the support of local printing companies to ensure its success. This year the event will last for two days instead of one.

  • Newmarket man honored with Diamond Jubilee Medal

    It is not every day that a resident is recognized for outstanding achievements by being awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for outstanding contributions in both Ontario and Canada. Newmarket resident and United Way York Region Past chairperson Charles Beer, however, is being recognized as just that person.
